    I don't know if I agree with this one. The promise of heaven may not be necessary, but it gives my life so much meaning. An intelligent person would realize that the "good deeds" talked about here are defined by the Creator of heaven. Plus, Christians don't do good deeds to receive a reward. They do it because it's the right thing to do.
