This bulletin board on reading is a great way to get the students to work or core concepts of reading. They can choose from any option under fluency, awareness, comprehension, and expand vocabulary. Each topic has multiple options beneath them to work on the main topic such as reread text, identify characters, summarize text, and use of figurative language. (Pin links to image only)
This "I'm done..." board is a great way to remind students of their choices once they have completed the current activity. By having this posted as a bulletin board or poster within the room, students would have a visual reminder of the acceptable options they have while awaiting transition to the next activity. This procedure would help maintain order as well as keep faster students busy.
Questions to ask about what we are reading....should add some critical literacy questions also Absolutely should add the critical thinking questions. Especially if schools use Accelerated Reader programs, students tend to have lots of books they have "read" but not a lot they can analyze or evaluate. this really hurts them in high school lit classes.
I love this idea!!! Each kid reading ...ánd a very nice photo of all in your classroom! Van ieder kind dat lekker aan het lezen is een foto maken en er een leuke wandversiering voor in je lokaal van maken! leuk voor de eerste week!
