Rubbing Alcohol for carpet stains - Pour alcohol into a spray bottle, spray on and rub on the stain. (Spot test on a hidden area first.) I recently tried this on a small stain that I have used EVERYTHING on. I mean the stain has been the bane of my existence for the last two years. It worked!!

Simple old rubbing alcohol removed permanent ink from cotton fabric. Had a piece of red fabric with 3" stains where a permanent marker had bled onto the fabric. I put the stained area in the bottom of a small margarine tub & poured rubbing alcohol to cover it. Couldn't believe how the dark color was pulled from the fabric. Emptied container, added new Rubbing Alcohol, after few minutes I put the fabric in cold water in the washing machine...agitated for two minutes. STAINS GONE!!! Maybe this could work for ink stains in scrubs?

My couch needs a good scrub down with her microfiber couch cleaner remedy: all you need is rubbing alcohol, a sponge, and a scrubber with hard brissles. :)

How to completely remove carpet stains -- I was skeptical this would work but it really did. My house went from looking like it was condemned because of the stains on the rug from my two toddlers to actually being able to have people over :)

Fels Naptha is the best stain treatment and it is cheap. Check out this post on how it gets almost anything out!

carpet stains and heaps more, read the peoples comments, more tips! . I love white vinegar. It also helps to get rid of the moldy smell towels can have if you accidentally leave them in the washer too long. Just put a cup of white vinegar in after the washer has filled up with water and wash as normal. It gets rid of the smell.

n light carpets, I've also found that the Clorox "pour directly on fabric" bleach works well on those tough spots. Pour onto carpet, let sit 2-3 minutes and then wash with water. It helps if you have a wet vac or carpet cleaner of some kind to pull all of the chemical from the carpet, but not necessary. Took out some nasty stains in our carpet like magic! Pinner says: First thing, I'm curious if the wrinkle release spray will smell like the vinegar at all or if the fabric softener in it will mask it...?? Secondly, I'm cleaning my oven racks tomorrow based on this & I'm excited to see how well it works. And finally, I'm pretty psyched (the little things) to try the armpit stain remover. Seriously ppl, everyone gets those, even a little bit.

How to clean a microfiber couch using rubbing alcohol... i feel like I needed this a long time ago.
