Primarily known for the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur on its summit and as a nightclub district. Many artists had studios/worked around the community of Montmartre such as Salvador Dalí, Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet, Piet Mondrian, Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh.
