Simeon Stafford. Sunday Afternoon, Mousehole The harbour in the tiny fishing village of Mousehole in Cornwall England on a sunny Sunday afternoon. There's just enough room to enjoy a sheltered play on the beach before the tide comes in or a walk along the seawall. This is a slightly unusual Stafford picture in the way that the paint is spread in a different way, almost impressionist in its feel although naive in style. A really lovely painting.
Oil painting by British artist Simeon Stafford, whose works are in collections of the Queen and Tony Blair. Here he captures the excitement of a visit to London and beautifully portrays the hustle and bustle of London life with its ever present double decker buses. Signed lower right and displayed in white wood frame. Image, 20"l x 30"W.
