Bach on Sleds Whangapoua, New Zealand A project by: Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects Architecture, Interior On the shore of an idyllic white sandy beach on New Zealand's Coromandel Peninsula rests an elegant hut. The site lies within the coastal erosion zone, where all building must be removable. This is taken literally and the hut is designed on two thick wooden sleds for movement back up the site or across the beach and onto a barge.

Our own Orchid Beach home? Tiny two stories holiday retreat on a sandy beach in New Zealand, design by Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects. The "roofs" over the windows can all be lowered to close up the cabin when not in use. Due to coastal erosion the cabin is also on a sled so it can be moved if needed.

Blue houses, green houses, and brick houses are my absolute favorite.

Look at this beautiful mid-century wooden house designed by American architect John Lautner! Surrounded by forests, this asymmetrical architectural beauty was built in 1969 on a hill in the Santa Monica mountains just outside of Los Angeles.
