The Tennessee Earnie Ford Show, ABC, CBS, 1952-1955. Country singer Ernie Ford was first heard in a 75-minute afternoon disc jockey program in 1952-1953, broadcast in separate 30- and 45-minute segments. After being off the air for a year, he returned in 1954 with a 30-minute musical variety program heard five times weekly in the early evening. Music was by Cliffie Stone and the announcer was Jack Narz. The program moved to NBC television at the end of the year.
