Something similar using black glue or glue on black paper with chalk or oil pastels might look neat as an art project

Just struck a first week if school activity! Everyone make a quilt square and piece them together to make a grade level quilt for the hall. Have specific "about me" topics for them to use to design their quilt. Use goals for the year as well... A work in progress this idea will be.
