Vertical growing allows almost any gardener to find a space for melons. There are many advantages of going vertical with your melon vines. Space is the most obvious. What may have engulfed a 10 to 20 foot wide swath through the garden can be trellised to take up no more than a 3 foot wide "footprint" of garden space.

A lot of the land trust managed walks use pallets on paths in my area. Makes you walk carefully and take your time. Just the way a walk in the woods should be.

I bought what was called a bean pole from a magazine for like 25-30 bucks. When I got it it essentially was a bike rim. I was like WTF why didn't I think of that!
