"Speak" by Laurie Haulse Anderson This book made me cry. It's about freshman girl at high school, who, after something had happened at the party, decides not to speak and remains silent. And the story is about her healing process, her coming back and facing things she didn't wanted to face. Melanie speaks for many other teenagers and demonstrates the importance of speaking up for oneself. Great book, and read it.

Speak, by Laurie Halse Anderson. Hands down my favorite book of all time, and a must read for anyone who is, will be, or was in high school

“Dead girl walking,” the boys say in the halls. “Tell us your secrets,” the girls whisper, one toilet to another. I am that girl. I am the space between my thighs, daylight shining through. I am the bones they want, wired on a porcelain frame. Lia and Cassie were best friends, wintergirls frozen in matchstick bodies. But now Cassie is dead.

Why was this cut? I mean seriously!!! Were the Dursleys even seen after the third movie? I get that you can't really top blowing up Aunt Marge, but come on!

Gone Girl - Loved this. If you like this try Defending Jacob too. Both mysteries with endings I could not predict.
