Add a river adventure to your bucketlist! Float down Beaver Creek Wild and Scenic River. With its headwaters in the White Mountains, Beaver Creek is a short 50-mile trip from Fairbanks, Alaska. The river flows west past the jagged limestone ridges of the White Mountains before flowing to the north and east, where it enters the Yukon Flats and joins the Yukon River. It’s a long trip and requires a lot of planning, but you won’t regret it. Photo by Bob Wick, @mypubliclands.
