ROLL-A-PALACE! I spent many a fabulous friday and saturday night here

Growing up in Brooklyn I was lucky enough to enjoy the greatest knishes in the worlds; Shatzkins. They were in Coney Island, they were round like a hockey puck, but no knish came close to the taste of a shatzkins.

I was too young to remember this one at Coney Island, but I do remember the one in the Kings Plaza Mall. I LIVED for their hot dog knishes!

Ebinger's was the great bakery...loved the chocolate butter cream with the almonds on the side and I remember the green box it came in.

I still dream of Ebinger's bakery. They would have lines around the block during the holidays, and nothing, could ever come close to their many layered chocolate mocha cake.
