Wasp trap, use protein bait, not sugar so you trap wasps, not bees. If you have wasps that build mud nests you might want to leave them as they stuff those nests with spiders to feed their young.

Add a mixture of vinegar, sugar and salt. The wasps are attracted to the sweet and sour scent yet bees don’t seem to be attracted by this sour mixture whereas a honey mix would be a fatal attractant. The down-side of this wasp trap is it also attracts and traps beneficial insects such as lacewing and hoverflies which are a natural pest control of aphids, so watch timing and usage spaces.

Mosquito trap - No more mosquitos!! Cut the top off a 2 liter bottle. Invert the cone and place it inside the bottle. Glue the two pieces together. Add 1 tsp yeast and 1/2 cup sugar to some luke warm water, and pour the mixture into the bottle. Mosquitoes are attracted to the carbon dioxide that you exhale. The yeast feeds off the sugar and emits the same gas.

Wasps killer--I need to try this.

Homemade Non-Toxic Wasp Spray / Repellant : combine together in a squirt bottle 2 cups of water + 1 teaspoon of peppermint oil + 1 teaspoon of dish soap (optional); wait until early morning or late evening hours when it looks like they’re sleeping, then shake and spray! You might need to apply the solution twice, but they will fall to the ground and die within seconds. Talk about a natural remedy!

DIY Wasp Trap: Different baits work at different times of the year. In the spring and early summer, wasps are looking for sources of protein. In the late summer and early fall, wasps are looking for sweets. To successfully bait your trap, stick a piece of lunch meat or a small hunk of hamburger inside your trap in the spring. Use a few inches of soda, juice or another sweet liquid in the summer and fall months. Add a bit of vinegar to the mix to keep bees out of your trap.

Keep wasps and bees away this summer. Put about 10 cloves in 1/2 a lemon and set out. They do not like the scent. Cut off the ends so they sit flat.
