Born in the Congo, Joyeause was six when war overtook her country and her parents were killed. Several years later Joyeause and her brother Didie headed to Rwanda on foot. In January 2010, a friend told them about Africa New Life. Desperate for help, they visited the ANLM office the next day, shared their story, and were welcomed. Thanks to her sponsorship through Love 41 at ANLM, Joyeause now has finished a one year vocational program to learn how to sew and is now enrolled back in school.
