Genius! ------1-2-3 Cake. I LOVE this idea!!! You need two boxes of cake mix. One can be any flavor you prefer, but the other MUST be Angel Food cake mix. Mix them together (shake them in a big ziploc bag or stir them together in a big bowl). Then simply store the mixture in an airtight container until you get the urge for dessert. Then just put three tablespoons of the dry mixture in a big coffee mug and stir in two tablespoons of water. Microwave it for one minute and you will have a single serving of cake! Top with fruit, ice cream whipped cream or whatever. :):):) Awesome for those of us who want something sweet every now without making an entire cake!! (3 points plus per serving)

Aunt Betty's 1-2-3 Cake - simply mix a box of angel food cake mix and a box of any flavor cake mix and when you are ready for a treat use 3 tablespoons of the mix and 2 tablespoons of water for 1 minute in the microwave. What could be easier or quicker?

Easy easy single serve cake in a minute :) 1 box Angel Food cake 1 box any flavor cake 2 T. water Combine the two mixes in a large plastic bowl with a tightly fitting lid or a zip bag. For one serving, mix 3 T. of the cake mixture with 2 T. of water in a small microwave safe container like a coffee mug. Microwave on high for 1 minute. You now have your own instant individual cake.

Aunt Betty's 1-2-3 Cake. Individual size. Try various flavors of cake mix but it must always be combined with an Angel Food mix.

I'm not using boxed cake mixes anymore because they contain GM (genetically modified) materials, which have been shown to be hazardous to humans, bees, and host of other parts of our environment. Would love to see more "from scratch" recipes so I can ensure the ingredients are wholesome.

use a taller coffee mug...otherwise you will have a mess in the microwave, according to my sister...

I agree Miriam. Hershey' Cocoa has a GREAT recipe for a chocolate cake from scratch. It's the only one I use anymore! http://www.hersheys.com/rec...

This recipe is so good. I did it with lemon cake and it was amazing. Low cal, no egg yolks

Weightwatcher website says this is 3 points - but that is still really doable and so very tasty

This is a fun recipe for a quick sweet. Mix cake mixes. Take 3 T of mix, add 2 T water and microwave for 1 minute. 321 cake.

This is awesome. I keep the mix of cake mixes...my favorite is Butter Pecan with the Angel Food....in a jar and we mix up a cup of cake anytime we want. Cool whip, ice cream, fresh fruit, delightful but not necessary. Very low cal...about 120 calories for a cup full according to my calculations. Definitely a keeper recipe.

3-2-1 Cake Mix 1 box cake mix and 1 box angel food cake mix. Keep in pantry. To make individual serving, combine 3 T. mix, 2 T. water, 1 minute in microwave. Top with cool whip or frosting.

Does this work with any flavor cake mix? Or do you have to use white cake?

I made this with a Double Chocolate Chunk cake mix with pudding in the mix and the Angel Food mix! Yummy with just a scoop of vanilla over the warm cake! Could drizzle a little chocolate syrup and/or caramel over the ice cream No need to ice!! Tested on my hubby!! Passed the test!!

Quick mini cake for when you want something sweet but don't want to bake a whole cake. Mix the cake of your preference with angel food cake. When you're ready for a sweet treat take 3 tbs of the dry mix and 2 tbs of water, mix together in a coffee cup and microwave for 1 minute. Top with whipped cream, fresh fruit, ice cream, or anything else you like!
