16 Dates, whole pitted


1 tbsp Honey
1/3 cup Peanut butter, natural crunchy

Pasta & Grains

1/3 cup Quinoa

Baking & Spices

1/4 cup Chocolate chips, dark or semisweet

Nuts & Seeds

1/2 cup Almonds with, raw skin

No need to buy commercially made bars that are full of unidentifiable ingredients when you can make these nutritious bars. 1/3 cup quinoa, pre-rinsed 2/3 cup water 16 whole (pitted) dates, no sugar added 1/2 cup raw almonds with skin 1/3 cup natural crunchy peanut butter (almond butter is an option) or try SunButter, its peanut & gluten free 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, Enjoy Life brand is gluten free 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Apple Cinnamon Quinoa Bites - These are really good! I cut out all the sugar and maple syrup and replaced it with 2 T Coconut Flour and 1/2 tsp NuNaturals Liquid Stevia. (I used jumbo eggs, if using large eggs use 3 eggs to replace the moisture from the maple syrup) I also used Granny Smith apples to keep the glycemic index down. I also replaced the oats with the same amount of quinoa to make them grain free. Yum!
