Laundry Organizing Tips from Martha Stewart

Laundry rooms are notorious for being cramped. If you need new inspiration for making over your laundry room, these laundry room ideas will help you save precious space and time. In Kevin Sharkey's laundry room, he wanted everything necessary to clean and care for his clothing in one place. He put together kits for minor sewing repairs, stain removal, shoe care, and clothing storage, and set them within easy reach on the lowest shelf. A catchall holds loose change, popped buttons, or whatever else is in his pockets. He decants powder detergent; a glass container makes it easier to see when you're running low than a cardboard box does.  Shop the Martha Stewart Living™ storage solutions

For small laundry rooms by morgan.family.75 ..... love the decor.

This looks manageable and pretty inexpensive. I could do this for sure. Now if I can just get my husband to agree:)

DREAM! i would love laundry if this room was in my house!

Hang a Drying Bar One of the best things I've ever done for the laundry was install a bar above the washer and dryer. This idea uses a bathroom towel rack, but we actually put a closet rod across the top of our laundry area. It gives me a place to hang dry clothes and somewhere to put them while I'm pulling clothes out of the dryer. Photo and more laundry ideas via Martha Stewart

This American Standard Heritage Faucet and Country Sink look right at home in this cozy laundry room.

Heather Bullard hid her washer and dryer with linen curtain panels — it's an easy project for those who want a quick concealing fix. She also added a few decor accents to personalize the tiny space, such as a mirror, a plant, and an antique box that holds dryer sheets. Neat idea. Like the countertop but again won't work with my top load washing machine! Hmmm. Wonder if it would make sense to hinge the countertop between the dryer and washer. Now that is an idea!

I am stealing this idea. I have a small laundry room and I think the basket hanging is a gread idea.
