I have a Gemeinhardt flute started in the 4th grade and played thru 12th. Love flute music to this day! Still play for myself.

I have an ancient Artley 3/20 Cooper/Smith of which only 500 were made. It plays like the a Powell. I have only had two flutes, both of which were Artley open hole. I don't even know if the company still exsts, but I love my flute. I carries a timbre that is difficult to duplicate and it rings beautiful over a large area. I've been playing for 48 years now and I'll probably never quit. @
