We can get so busy correcting our sons, and dealing with the daily needs of boys, that we miss doing the things that really matter now, and that will make a big difference for them in the long run. That’s why we’ve come up with 10 Rules for Moms of Sons.
Using the Bible to Correct and Encourage Children: Heart Chart- It's a chart that has a bunch of behaviors that Scripture addresses. What I love about the chart is it has a "put off" verse and a "put on" verse. The "put on" verse is included so that parents don't just stop at "The Bible says you shouldn't act this way... end of story." Instead I should instruct the child on what the God-honoring behavior is so that they are prepared for next time.
LOVE THIS ~~ Positive reinforcement ~~ Put a cotton ball, marble, pom-pom, etc. in every time you catch your child being good. Do something special when it's full. This is exactly what I need instead of focusing on the bad.
