The glass castle- a memoir by Jeannette Walls. The book recounts Walls' and her siblings' unconventional, poverty-stricken upbringing at the hands of their deeply dysfunctional parents. Great book that makes you wonder how these kids made it through such a crazy childhood.
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls is a memoir worth reading. It is a testament to the resilience and courage of the human spirit, and it is an eye-opener to the uniqueness of those who choose a lifestyle we often deplore. It is as much about the author as it is about her parents. Very well written!
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls I couldn't believe this was a true story. Jeanette Walls takes us on a roller coaster called her life! Amazing story!
Frankly one of my favorite books. "The Glass Castle is a 2005 memoir by Jeannette Walls. The book recounts her and her siblings' unconventional, poverty-stricken upbringing at the hands of their deeply dysfunctional parents." The Walls' story made me laugh and cry...it's not a sad story it's lively and interesting.

A Fortunate Life is the amazing true story of the life of Albert Facey, covering his life from his birth in 1894 to around 1976, six years before he died. Bert had little schooling and mostly taught himself to read and write. He began keeping notes about his life and eventually compiled them chronologically into this book at the urging of his family. An excellent book to read !

Rohinton Mistry, A Fine Balance. Set in mid-1970s India, a subtle and compelling narrative about four unlikely characters who come together in circumstances no one could have foreseen soon after the government declares a 'State of Internal Emergency'. It is a breathtaking achievement: panoramic yet humane, intensely political yet rich with local delight.
