Homemade Laundry Detergent Grate 1 bar of zote, ivory, or castile soap. Add 1 C borax and 1 C washing soda. Mix together until an even powder is achieved. Use a heaping tablespoon in your loads, 2 for extra soiled loads. For a natural fabric softener, add 1/2-3/4 C vinegar to the final rinse cycle. (Don't worry, your clothes don't smell like vinegar, and the vinegar helps to deter any build-up in the washing machine!)

DIY Laundry Softener /// 6 cups hot water, 2 cups white vinegar, 1 bottle of conditioner ||| In a bowl mix the hot water and full bottle of conditioner. Stir until completely mixed & dissolved. After that pour in the vinegar and mix it all together. Pour your laundry softener into the container of your choice.Use about 6 table spoons, but you can use the amount that works for you.
