homemade finger paint - am loving these recipes. Know what's in them when my little one tastes (which he absolutely will do). At least I will know what to tell poison control.
Homemade finger paint: 3 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup cornstarch 2 cups water On medium low temp, warm all ingredients in a small saucepan stirring fairly constantly until paint thickens. Transfer to jars and mix in food colouring. This recipe makes enough to fill approximately 6 baby food jars.
Homemade finger paints...kind of a tricky recipe. You have to get the measurements JUST right or it will be too thick or too watery. Also, you have to ad a TON of food coloring. Ruby still liked it, and if you don't have any finger paint, its a cheap way to get some fast!
Painting with flour. Microwave 30 sec. to make fluffy! Equal parts salt and self-rising flour with enough water to make a very thick paste. // This worked great and was really neat! Thicker paste and painting definitely worked better. I'd also make a big batch, then separate it and dye it.
Cook your own homemade FINGER paint! 1/2 cup cornstarch ■ 3 Tbsp. sugar ■ 1/2 tsp. salt ■ 2 cups cold water ■ food coloring
Homemade Finger Paint Recipe via Food.com: sugar, cornstarch, water, clear dish soap, and food coloring. Note: let the cornstarch mixture cool before adding dish soap. I didn't the first time and it curdled. I also stirred in iridescent glitter. Turned out great.
