The Common Green Magpie, Cissa Chinensis, is a member of the Crow family, roughly about the size of the Eurasian Jay or slightly smaller. It is found from the lower Himalayas in north Eastern India in a broad South Easterly band down into central Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra and North Western Borneo in evergreen forest (including bamboo forest), clearings and scrub.

There's nothing common looking about the Common Green Magpie (Cissa chinensis). In the wild it's body is a vivid green, with red bill and eye ring and a strong black stripe from its bill to its nape. The green magpie has a rather long tail with white tips and the wings are a reddish brown. A member of the crow family, it can be found in the lower Himalayas of India making a southeastward band through Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, and Borneo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_green_magpie
