Sixteen Candles (1984) seriously, probably my favorite movie from the 80's, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, John Cusack!

Sixteen Candles (1984) Sam Baker's (Molly Ringwald) 16th birthday should be perfect and memorable, but her whole family is so preoccupied with her older sister's (Blanche Baker) wedding that they completely forget her big day. But catching the eye of Jake Ryan (Michael Schoeffling) would make everything better for Sam. Anthony Michael Hall, John Cusack, Gedde Watanabe and Haviland Morris co-star in writer-director John Hughes's classic 1980s teen-angst comedy.

Sixteen Candles..... If anyone finds out she'll shit twice and die!

I guess this fits under the "Be Merry" portion of this board? I don't care. It's the hands down, most romantic on-screen kiss there ever has been. (That includes you, Rhett and Scarlett!)

The movie that made millions of teens believe that dreams can come true with a birthday cake on a beautiful hunks giant dining room table... ♥

I used to climb on our dining room table when I was a kid and try and re-create this scene :)

Michael Schoeffling. Always wanted to look beautiful so maybe I could meet him someday and we could date.

My most favorite movie from the 80's!

E.T. The Extra Terrestrial is a big part of my movie memories. I'm not sure if my grown children have seen it though, LOL. #et

Yes, that right all! The wonderful Christmas story that millions have fallen in love with was set right here in Indiana. Northern Indiana to be exact. And even mentions my hometown of Terre Haute!!! Fun fact: One of the extras seen in the arrival of the leg lamp when the father stares at it across the street. There is a man in a newspaper boy cap. He is a Terre Hautian asked to be an extra. :)
