Abandoned Cane Hill psychiatric hospital in Coulsdon in the London Borough of Croydon. During its lengthy period of operation, many notable patients passed through the doors of Cane Hill - these include Charlie Chaplin's mother, and the brothers of Michael Caine and David Bowie. Bowie's album 'The Man Who Sold the World' featured the administration block of Cane Hill on its sleeve. The hospital housed almost 2,000 patients at its peak. Photo: mark-davis-photography.com

Sunken Yacht In Antarctica

Sunken Ship, Ardley Cove. For a brief period in 2012, the freezing cold waters of Maxwell Bay in Ardley Cove, Antarctica sheltered what looked like a ghost ship from above, glowing iridescent blue just a few meters below the surface. The Brazilian research vessel Mar Sem Fim (Endless Sea) held four researchers filming a documentary in Maxwell Bay, but became stuck in the ice. The weather turned, and waves several meters high along with 40-knit winds caused the ship to lean to one side. The Chilean navy rescued the researchers, but the ship had to be left behind. Water from those towering waves froze inside the ship, splitting the hull and sending the vessel to the bottom of the shallow bay. It stayed there for nearly a year, until the owner managed to return to the site and use buoys to gradually raise it from its watery grave and bring it back to shore.
Favorably Ghostly Sunken Yacht in Antarctica 76-foot Brazilian yacht named Mar Sem Fin (Endless Sea) sank off the coast of Antarctica, probably because of ice compression and powerful winds. Four crew members were rescued from the yacht, which belonged to Brazilian journalist João Lara Mesquita, who was in the region making a documentary based on MercoPress. An eerie and creepy impression of this photo is unique and definitely leaves you breathless. Enjoy #yacht #travel #beautiful #fun

A Sunken Boat in the Antarctica.. In this haunting image by Ruslan Eliseev, we see the sunken remains of the 76-ft Mar Sem Fin, a Brazillian boat that was used for scientific and educational expeditions. The boat, which sunk on April 7, 2012, lies at a depth of about 9 meters (30 ft) in Ardley Bay, Antarctica. Thankfully the crew was completely evacuated and nobody was hurt. Abandoned places. * Floating Forest in Australia. - In Sydney, Australia a 102 year old ship is home to anything but humans. The SS Ayrfield served as a collier on the sixty-miler run between Newcastle and Sydney and would transport the supplies to American troops in the Pacific Ocean. The ship was brought to the Bay back in 1972 to be dismantled, but the operations eventually ceased and the bay no longer served as a ship wrecking yard.

Initiation Well in the Town of Sintra, Portugal. The 27 metre deep well, resembles an inverted tower, and depending on the direction you choose, either a journey down into the depths of the earth, or a climb out of the darkness into the light, the journey through the earth is like a rebirth through mother natures womb, from where all things come and where one day all shall return. The owner of Quinta da Regaleira, António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro, was a known Freemason, and with the help of Italian Architect Luigi Manini, set about designing and constructing the four hectare estate with its enigmatic buildings, parks and tunnels which are laden with symbols related to alchemy, Masonry, the Knights Templar, and the Rosicrucians. There are obvious Hermetic/Rosicrucian connotations in the well: "That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above, corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracles of the One Thing" - Hermes Trismegistus The well is divided in nine platforms reminiscent of the Divine Comedy by Dante and the nine circles of Hell, the nine sections of Purgatory and the nine skies which constitute Paradise. At the base of the well you will find a Rosicrucian Cross, which also happened to be the coat of arms of Carvalho Monteiro.
Quinta da Regaleira - Sintra, Portugal - "An underground tunnel with a spiral staircase, supported by carved columns, down to the bottom of the well through nine landings. The nine hole round landings, separated by fifteen steps, evoke references to Dante’s Divine Comedy, and may represent the nine circles of hell, paradise, or purgatory." http://cristimoise.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/tumblr_m7klobyczk1r5dw6lo1_500.jpg
The initiation well - Sintra, Portugal In the town of Sintra, the Quinta da Regaleira, an extremely beautiful architectural complex, includes an early twentieth century palace and a garden. Specialists consider that the estate reveals and symbolises Masonic rituals, although no-one knows whether the original owner of the estate, António Carvalho Monteiro, actually practised Masonic rituals on the site, or simply desired to perpetuate the imaginary universe of this secret cult.
