Do everything without whining, complaining or arguing. Every one has their own jar. Start off the week with a set amount of quarters in each jar. If they are caught whining or complaining, they lose a quarter. At the end of the week, they get the money that remains. Must start NOW!!!:)

Uh-oh jar-what a great idea to discipline the kiddos. Really think it would cut down on the whining......."uh oh you need to pick another one".....

FINALLY! THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! You do not get paid for chores because it's an expected part of being a family. Allowance is teaching children how to manage money. Thank you, Pinterest. Now I have a place to start.

After 15 years of failed allowance systems and chore charts that were way too much work, I found an easy system that works for us.

when they argue.. LOL GREAT IDEA! FUNNY.

reward system... kind of like my token rules!

What a great idea for forgetful parents (mom mush brain life saver)

I love this idea--have the kids "pay" for their snacks. When they are out of money, no more snacks for the day.

Looking for ways to help your children learn to serve others? This idea has really blessed us and has completely changed the way my children interact with each other!

Ultra-light Mei Tai top, wonder if you can make something like this great Idea!!!! A top and a carrier!

I like to give $ for chores because it teaches the kids the importance of working hard and earning your $.

This is AMAZING! All the things you work on to train your children tabbed and highlighted with a key in the front. Training topics include: anger, complaining, lying, laziness, THE GOSPEL! So when you need the verses you can grab the actual Word and be able to quickly flip to whatever you need!!

Wow! I love this list! I don't necessarily agree with all of these but the idea of teaching kids manners is so important. Not enough kids have manners these days. I especially love the door holding idea. Not enough men act like gentlemen these days and I hope I can raise my boy to be gentleman.

Another pinner said, "One of the most important books I've ever read! A lot of parents are afraid of these kinds of conversations. You should be more afraid of not having them.”

They're simple. You and I do them every day - - but this after school checklist will helpfully remind my kids what needs to be done when they walk in the door from a long day at the "office".

need help getting kids to pick up?

Whoa! Tip one is a real eye opener! For your kids and grandkids. #parenting #kids
