I love this idea, but I think I will just spray the pots black and use white vinyl letters (which I have a ton of, for some odd reason). After that, a coat of clear coat should seal it. Great idea, especially if some herbs aren't so easy to identify. Ideas, Indoor Herbs, Chalkboards Painting, Painting Pots, Chalkboard Paint, Flower Pots, Herbs Gardens, Clay Pots, Flowerpot

diy chalkboard labels on jars. I think this may be the answer to my kitchen hack. I'm planning on standardizing spice storage in my kitchen but want to add an element of whimsy/style/je ne sais qua. I just need to find some glass spice jars to use...
I LOVE these inexpensive mugs with chalkboard hearts from Amy Huntley (The Idea Room). Plus..her taste in art is EXCELLENT. *wink*
Beautiful idea but $32 on etsy + $10 s/h. I know that I can make this for about 2-3 bucks with a piece of barn wood, leftover kids blocks and some hooks. I don't care that much for the black blocks think that I would distress them in their natural colors
If you thought chalkboards were just for schoolrooms, think again. If you want colorful chalkboard purchase non-sanded tile grout and the color of acrylic paint you want and mix at a ratio of 2 tablespoons of non-sanded grout to 1 cup of paint. Of course this does not make a lot of paint so add/adjust for what your project needs. Note: it has been said that you can also use latex paint.
