    Method One For those who are having trouble finding or affording the alcohol- inks, here is a basic recipe to create your own. 1. Empty one package of powdered Rit dye into a small baby food jar. 2. Add rubbing alcohol to the top of the jar, and shake well. Method Two (not as grainy as above) 1/2 cup isopropyl alcohol 2 tsp or more of liquid Rit Fabric Dye Pour alcohol into bottle and add dye, shake well to mix.

Frugality in crafting ... homemade embossing ink. Who would have thought it was a mixture of Vaseline, cooking oil and alcohol! One reviewer said this: "I find glycerin works really well and you don't get the oily bleed that can happen with oil and petroleum jelly. You can add watercolour paint or food colouring if you want to tint it. Works like a charm."

Make Your Own Mists... so last summer I took this great craft class where we used mists. Of course, I wanted to keep crafting when the class was over, so I had to go buy my own. Those cost almost 8 bucks each, so this is a FABULOUS alternative!!
