The Wizard of Oz - I love, love, love this movie. My favorite movie as a child! I wanted to be exactly like Judy Garland

Judy Garland singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in the Wizard of Oz. I loved this movie, but only got to see it when it came on TV once a year, (before VCRs & DVDs). I was shocked when I saw it for the first time on a color TV. The first part of the movie was filmed in black & white, but the picture suddenly turned to color when Dorothy opened the door of her little house in Oz. (TV pictures used to only be in black & white. Hard to believe, but true!)

The Wizard of Oz. Toto is the name of a fictional dog in L. Frank Baum's Oz series of children's books, and works derived from them. The name is pronounced with a long "O", a homophone of "toe toe". The dog was originally a Cairn Terrier drawn by W.W. Denslow for the first edition of the Wizard of Oz (1900). He reappears in numerous adaptations, such as the famous 1939 Hollywood movie.
