Deployment ideas for kids- I covered a cereal box with paper, and I'll attach it to the wall and my kids can draw pictures or write notes to Daddy. Whenever I mail out something to him, I'll collect whatever is in the box too. It's a great way for kids to sort thru the emotions of deployment.
Deployment countdown. Fill jar with number of Hershey kisses needed for each day deployed. Kid (or kids) each get a "kiss goodnight" from Daddy---Or skip the sugar and fill the jar with love notes for each day of the deployment
My husband deployed for 230 days. We have 3 kids so we put 690 Hersey kisses in a vase so each of our kids can get a "goodnight kiss from daddy" each night. It helps them to see when he is getting close to coming home!!!!!!
