Sweet and Sour Pork (咕嚕肉) - A Cantonese dish that is believed to have originated from the eastern Chinese province, Jiangsu. It is one the most famous Chinese dishes seen across the world in Chinese restaurants. Pork fried in sweet and sour sauce mixed with green and red peppers. Pork can be swapped with chicken, fish or shrimp.
BBQ Pork Recipe (Char Siu/Char Siew/蜜汁叉烧) - (This is basically the recipe that I use except that I use white sugar in place of the maltose and mirin or sake in place of the rose wine. Do not use a pork loin because you need a cheap, fattier cut for a moister product. This is delicious served with Chinese mustard, catsup, and sesame seeds. YS)
