For today's Trick of the Trade, we asked John if there were any easy fixes to deck problems like rotten boards, wobbly railings and loose nails?   John said: "Not really, rotten boards and loose railings are a safety concern and should be addressed by a licensed contractor. If nails that are holding the deck boards are coming loose, pull the nails and replace with an exterior screw. If you just pound the nails down they will come back up over time."
