"some books are meant / to be read just like this / alone, with the evening, / a bowl of fruit ripening / waiting for the reader / to grow hungry, but / she won't, the book / will devour her, / and it / will soon / become / morning."
Books on the bookshelves | And stacked on the floor | Books kept in baskets | And propped by the door | Books in neat piles | And in disarray | Books tucked in closets | And books on display | Books filling crannies | And books packed in nooks | Books massed in windows | And mounded in crooks | Libraries beckon | And bookstores invite | But book-filled rooms welcome | Us back home at night! ~L.R.Knost www.littleheartsb...
Finding time to read should be non-negotiable. I often tell my students how important reading daily is. Often we only read what is necessary and do not read beyond what is expected. In today's digital age you have many options for reading and can even listen to great books as well. True learning moves beyond the classroom and can only be found deep within the seams of a great book.
