    Newspaper Pots Take a sheet of newspaper and fold lengthwise within 1" of the top. Roll newspaper around can. Flip over can and fold in the bottom. Pressed this down FIRMLY. Flip right side up. While still holding newspaper closed, carefully slide out the can. You can then fold down the top of the newspaper so as to not need any tape.

    You don’t need a fancy kit or special pots to start your own seeds.  All you need are some newspapers. Then you’ll have dozens of biodegradable pots ready for your favorite plants. I've been doing this for years but I don't need tape because I tuck the end in.

    DIY Seed Starting Pots - make your own for free from newspaper (use newsprint not coloured shiny paper for these). When your seedling has grown its first 2 true leaves & is ready for transplanting, just dig a hole & bury the entire 'pot'.
