Great article on the benefits of joining a CSA. CSAs (community supported agriculture programs) provide a direct link between local farmers and consumers by allowing members to purchase a share of a farmer’s crop before it’s produced each season. You can find one in your area here... http://www.localharvest.org/
Dear Modern Farmer, I’ve been growing flowers and vegetables on my small farm just for my family, but I’d like to start a CSA (community supported agriculture) program — maybe just a dozen shares to start, and then grow over time. Thanks, C. S. Aggie Dear Aggie, Assuming you are talking about a single-farm
"How to Set up a Farm Store" This is pretty much common sense, but there are still a few good ideas here. Alex and I definitely want to have a farm store! We just have to make sure of the local laws are regarding the proximity of food stuffs to a farm, what items can be sold and how, and things of that sort.
