A perfect bookworm gift - a quote print featuring a message we can all get behind! 'May your shelves always overflow with books.' A charming message for your favourite book lover, printed onto the page of an antique dictionary using Bookishly's exclusive hand-drawn font. Whether it adorns the library in the east wing or the reading nook by the fire, it's will be a constant reminder of why we love books so much. The page is taken from an old medium school dictionary and measures approx 14cm x 20cm (approx 5.5 inches x 8 inches). The dimensions of these dictionaries can vary by a few centimeters sometimes, as getting hold of consistent sizes is quite difficult! Please let me know if you need the exact dimensions of the print you will receive. An original book page is used each time, making each piece unique to you. The frames are made using ethically sourced wood and are gift wrapped using a beautiful old road atlas. The black wooden block frames are handmade in Northamptonshire using wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. They stand up by themselves or hang flush to the wall, and look great on a bookshelf. The frames are lightweight and contain <strong>no glass </strong>so you can feel the lovely old page. I hunt down the books in local charity shops and second hand book dealers. You can also choose to have your book page print(s) completely unframed. Please note the pages are delicate, small, and are not standard frame sizes so if you are going to frame them yourself you will most likely need to have a custom mount/mat made.approx 14cm x 20cm (approx 5.5 inches x 8 inches) There is approx 0.3cm of black frame showing around the page, and the frame is 3cm deep. The dimensions of this design can vary very slightly depending on the dictionary I am using at the time.

In 1937, J.R.R. Tolkien released "The Hobbit". It was so popular that a German publisher wanted to acquire the rights to translate it into German. In order to do that, they had to get proof from Tolkien that he was of Aryan descent. Tolkien wrote a letter to the publisher vocally expressing his thoughts on that matter. Follow the link to read the letter.
