Post-war prosperity, a booming automobile industry, and increasing suburbanization continued the expansion of bookmobile service.

n 1960, "Little Toot," a Los Angeles Public Library bookmobile, was retired in favor of a new, larger book van. From the looks of things, officials declined to call the new touring library Big Toot.

WOW! Mobile library service from an era not known to these days. Amazing! Perhaps we should adapt some of these concepts so the World these days is not so bursting with unhealthy use of technology!
