Aleksei Minarik was diagnosed with PNET Ewing's Sarcoma of the spine in Jan. 2011. He was declared cancer-free in November, his mother Alli Minarik writes. "He has been an inspiration to so many people we could not be more proud of him!"
Luke getting chemotherapy on his fourth birthday in 2009. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma in 2008. Luke is currently cancer-free and in kindergarten. His mom, Monica Marcelis Fochtman, writes, "Luke loves to draw, play legos and read. Every day is a gift."
Diego was diagnosed with Nephroblastoma when he was 3, mom Maja Brugos writes. His friends call the scars from the removal of a football-sized tumor his "cracking belly." Diego has been off treatment for one year.
Toby Hoang was diagnosed with medullablastoma on November 10th, 2011. His mother, Dianna Hoang, sent us this photo in an email: “While going through this treatment, he has shown amazing strength and he always has a smile always on his face.”
Erik, now 20, was diagnosed with medulloblastoma that had spread to his spine at 17 months old. "He is a miracle," mom Norma Zimmerman writes. "A cure does come at a cost and the treatment that saved his live did leave him with many of the long term effects."
Amy Miller was 22 years old and a junior at Michigan State University when she was diagnosed with Stage 2A Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2009, she writes us. She will be celebrating her two year remission in February
