Margarite Archie-Hudson is the first woman president of historically black Talladega College,1998-2001. She received a B.A. from Talladega College, 1958; M.A.,Harvard University, education and counseling, 1962; Ph.D., University of California-Los Angeles, higher education administration. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
