DIY Body Lotion - requires emulgent (Bob's Red Mill make soy lecithin), a preservative and canning jars. Tried this recipe. ended up with gloppy mess, not sure what I did wrong because its written out very simply??

So here is the revised Homemade Moisturizing Lotion: 16 ounces baby lotion 8 ounces coconut oil (solid form, not melted) 8 ounces vitamin E cream 2 tbls e oil (not called for I had some so I put it in) Mix together with handheld mixer until it resembles icing. It seems to have a lighter feel I think a great summer time lotion. 4 SIMPLE ingredients.....1 WONDERFUL moisturizer

homemade whipped coconut oil body butter recipe .. only requires one (yes, one!) ingredient. Anything else is completely optional. It also only takes a few minutes, and you'll have enough whipped body butter to last at least a month or two. In fact, if you get carried away, put some in an attractive jar and it makes a great gift! It feels luxurious as a moisturizer, and yet an entire jar of it costs less than $2 to make.
