Barn doors painted the same bold orange pack a punch undry area. "The doors to the laundry room could have been a lost opportunity—just another pair of white doors," says Berman. "But we felt they shouldn’t be an afterthought. Painting them orange made them very visible and special. They read as art."
The owners of this South Carolina home wanted a welcoming entry and loved the idea of keeping their front door open to enjoy the breeze while still keeping bugs at bay. The answer: sliding screened doors hung just inside the foyer, instead of outside the front entrance. Plus, the doors keep the entry and surrounding area open because there is no door swing.
