Lovely Landforms Writing Station. During the students writing station they could be asked to write a short paragraph or story incorporating one or more of the basic landforms.

After learning about land forms students can better visualize them by coloring a chart to keep with them. (Physical Geography)

These writing mats would be a fantastic way to integrate science and social studies content areas with language arts. Students would love being creative while coloring pictures of landforms and writing descriptions or stories using important vocabulary. I would either use this as a writing center or have students complete this during language arts instruction.

Landforms-tweak it for 5th grade. Include river systems and harder landforms like delta, peninsula and cape.

Landforms Social Studies topic that aligns with Earth's Forces for a unit. This project could easily be used as an activity within the lesson for Social Studies.

FREE 25 Slide Landforms Powerpoint~ This display has a wide variety of pictures that focus on key landforms such as tundra, wetland, ocean, grassland, desert, and coral reef. Students view each picture then select from a multiple choice menu. Slides are numbered so this could be a good supplemental activity for students to "jump into" after bellwork using a numbered handout for recording answers. Good for introducing, reviewing, or testing these concepts!

A collaborative way for students to learn vocabulary centered around a specific topic...definitely using this for our spring plant/flower activity!
