    So so true! I need to remember this when life seems hard with you gone.

    This often frustrated me...when civilians will make a statement, "Oh, how hard it must be to remain faithful, through those many deployments." No.....not at all....I have stayed faithful to my soldier for the entire 20, and enjoyed watching him retire the Army. Wasn't a problem for us. I love my spouse/retired soldier/best friend.

    This describes me perfectly. I'm tired of people telling me that I "should've known it was going to be hard," there is no amount of preparing that you can do to make deployments easier.
