Police Officer Charles Cole died from illnesses he contracted from inhaling toxic materials as he participated in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Daniel Lewin (1970-2001) Danny was born in the USA but raised in Israel. He served in the elite Sayeret Matkal unit for 4 years, then attended Technion University, graduating summa cum laude in 1995. Danny moved back to the USA to enrol in MIT for his Ph.D. On September 11, 2001, Danny was the first victim of the Al Qaeda attacks, attempting to foil the hijackers plans on Flight 11. He was killed fighting the Islamic terrorists.
