microwave Ivory soap (must be Ivory) for 1-2 minutes on parchment paper and it turns into this soap cloud. Cool. Then you can smash it up in a bowl and add food coloring and shape it into little soaps with cookie cutters. Cute idea!

What a great craft idea for kids! This is what happens when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! Then you can tear it up, color it, and mold it into shapes! It's not wet and messy, either! This is awesome!

My youngest did this as a homework science experiment in kindergarten. It was pretty neat - another pinner said - this is totally genius. And not just for kids! This is what happens when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! Then you can tear it up, color it, and mold it into shapes! Its not wet and messy, either! This is awesome!

FAIL!!! Besides the fact that the smell of microwaved Ivory soap gave us all headaches, I found that this idea was completely useless and a waste of time/$. IMO ...this is totally genius. And not just for kids! This is what happens when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! Then you can tear it up, color it, and mold it into shapes! It's not wet and messy, either! This is awesome!

While reading other people’s blogs, particularly those from the United States, we regularly come across a product called Ivory Soap. We Googled it (as we do) and discovered that it is a soap which has been whipped and is full of air bubbles, which makes it quite light. - Sensory play
