View of Vétheuil, 1880, Claude Monet (1840-1926). During summer 1880, Monet painted twenty-six views of the area around the village of Vétheuil. Six were painted from the Île Saint-Martin, one of the many nearby islands in the Seine. In this example, Vétheuil may be seen in the background.
