Barley Hall - the Great Hall, Set up for medieval dining, the hearth is the brick area centrally, the smoke exited through the tiles in the roof, the High Table for the master of the house at the end. The Jorvik Viking feast is held here in February, there are regular medieval banquets and it is a wedding venue
Penshurst Place, Kent - the huge medieval Baron's Hall. This is where Anne of Cleves lived after annulment from her marriage to King Henry VIII. The original medieval house is one of the most complete examples of 14th-century domestic architecture in England surviving in its original location.
