this design by Adrian Bloom uses one shrub, Cornus alba Aurea, one conifer, Taxus baccata Robusta, one grass, Hakonechloa macra and one perennial, the everblack Ophiopogon planiscapus Nigrescens to create a scene of year round interest // Great Gardens & Ideas //
The Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa) is a perennial plant related to the agaves, extracts of which are used as a middle note in perfumery. The tuberose is a night-blooming plant, with fragrant waxy white flowers, and is thought to be native to Mexico along with every other species of Polianthes. In Mexican Spanish the flower is called Nardo or Vara de San José. - Flickr - Photo Sharing!
