Brief Atari Brand History

Designed by George Opperman in 1972, the logo represents a stylized letter ‘A’. “Back in 1972, Atari’s claim to fame was ‘Pong,’ and George says the two side pieces of the Atari symbol represent two opposing video game players, with the center line of the ‘Pong’ court in the middle.”

Atari 1040ST. This was my 2nd computer, bought in 1988. I sold it to a motion graphics artist at ITV when my family left London. I don't think he could wrap his head around buying his new pro computer from an 11 year old. My next computer was an Amiga running NewTek graphics software. I still miss both.
