    Filipino BBQ Pork Skewers 1 head of garlic, peeled and crushed 1 TBSP salt (doubled) 1 tsp. black pepper (doubled) 1/4 c. sugar (doubled use white - next time brown sugar) 1/4 cup soy sauce (doubled) 2 TBSP freshly-squeezed kalamansi juice (optional) (fresh lemon juice) 2 lbs pork butt, cut into 1/4 inch slices (pork shoulder butt) 3/4 cup 7-Up soda (one can) leftover marinade and boiled/simmered it on stovetop. Took it off the heat and added soy sauce, Filipino ketchup, and olive oil.
